History of the Association

The feline society “Urr Murr & Co” is an independent felinological organization established on January 7, 2020, with the goal of uniting cat enthusiasts, breeders, and clubs. It serves as a platform for sharing experience, information, and resources in the field of cat breeding and care. Members of the organization can exchange knowledge, participate in events, and receive support in their activities, thereby contributing to the development of felinology and the promotion of cats as pets.

      The society has developed regulations for breeding work and approved official document templates issued by the organization. On October 24, 2024, “Urr Murr & Co” was published on the website lad.gov.lv and was granted the right to conduct breeding activities in the Republic of Latvia as an organization that complies with regulatory requirements in the field of cat breeding.

      Training and education programs have been conducted for specialists in cat breeding and expert evaluation. The society includes breeders, feline experts, and passionate cat lovers.
